The criteria used for selection of districts and mandals for the study is on the basis of levels of development (% Irrigation). Three Districts were Selected randomly for sample study choosing one district from each Geographical region. . i.e. Medak (Telangana), Anantapur (Rayalaseema), and West Godavari (Coastal Andhra). Accordingly two mandals were selected randomly from each district from developed and backward regions within the district using similar criteria that is used for districts. Collection of Secondary data was completed for two of the sample districts. The field inputs (Questionnaires) for different programmes like IRDP, JRY, TRYSEM, Women Thrift Groups, EAS, ICDS programmes, and IAY has been finalised. The primary Census Survey was completed in one district. The data entry and processing was completed. The preliminary tables are ready. The drafting work is going on. The field work for second district is expected to commence soon. |
